A place in the sun

Looking up as my eyes get scorched
Upon the sight of the sun, my torch
The delight, I wonder where did it went?
Did all my gloom has already been spent?

Apathy has this interesting appeal
where all emotions are next to nil
but maybe its just a mask I wear
hiding the pain from those that I care

But a crack here and there could be felt
As the ice cold wall slowly melt
Maybe the sun will puncture through
gone will be the shade that I once knew

Looking up to the sky, to the sun, so bright
my eyes are scorched and my skin is touched
drew out a sigh as I went to the shade
Maybe its time to relax, and let my anxiety fade
