Sunlit Inspiration

What moves you, What inspires you?
To do great things, to aspire great dreams
Cause I have been touch by such
Divine it might have come from
or from the heart where it bathe

It moved me as the sunlight touches my face
Gentle as it nudge me to awaken from slumber
A sleep of the mundane, routine and mediocre
It ask me to rise up, to challenge what has moved others
that forced others with the weight of apathy and discord

I ask you this, as I ask myself, for I was moved, I was asked
Inspired you might say to become more than just what I am
to become the better me, the best of me
to rise beyond what I have limited myself
and with it, the freedom I yearn for.

And maybe then, when I am free, you are with me
as I tenderly smile as the sunlight like inspiration touches you
